The overview contains metadata on the consultation procedures completed between 1960 and 1991. Consultation procedures play an important role in the process of preparing Swiss legislation. They give interested parties an opportunity to state their position on proposed new laws.

The data were compiled as part of a cooperative project between Année Politique Suisse (APS) and the Swiss Federal Archives (SFA). They complement the available finding aids on the fonds of the Swiss Federal Archives.
